The total solar eclipse on August 21st, 2017, was an extraordinary celestial event that captured the attention of observers across the United States. As the Moon passed between the Earth and the Sun, a path of totality swept across several states, offering a rare opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of a completely obscured Sun.

During this remarkable event, scientific measurements played a crucial role in advancing our understanding of the Sun-Earth system. We express our deepest gratitude to Dr. Friedemann Freund from NASA Ames and his team for his dedicated efforts in conducting measurements during the eclipse. Dr. Freund's expertise and contribution have significantly enriched our knowledge of the Sun's behavior and its impact on our planet.
Furthermore, we extend special thanks to Dr. Nigel Dyer for conducting simultaneous measurements at the opposite side of the Earth, in Thailand. Dr. Dyer's collaboration and data collection during the allowed us to exclude any possible role of neutrinos in terms of a (possible) influence of the Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein effect for the observed changes in water parameters.

Their joint efforts, spanning across different locations and time zones, have shed light on the intricacies of solar eclipses and their global impact. The measurements performed by Dr. Freund and Dr. Dyer have enhanced scientific research and fostered collaboration.
As we learned from Dr. Freund, the total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017, was a breathtaking spectacle. We express our utmost gratitude to both him and Dr. Nigel Dyer for their unwavering dedication to scientific exploration and their invaluable contributions to our understanding of solar eclipses.
